LHM (Large Animatable Human Reconstruction Model) is an innovative technology launched by Alibaba Tongyi Labs, aiming to reconstruct high-quality, animated 3D mannequins through single images.
Based on the advanced multimodal Transformer architecture, LHM combines 3D geometric features and 2D image features, using attention mechanisms to preserve detailed clothing textures and facial features, making the generated 3D model not only high quality, but also can be converted in seconds. By introducing 3D Gaussian Splatting, LHM also supports real-time rendering and pose control animation, especially suitable for immersive applications such as AR/VR.
The main highlight of LHM is its speed and accuracy. With just one image, LHM can quickly generate a 3D mannequin with fine textures, facial details, and dynamic posture control. The model is suitable for a variety of scenarios, including virtual reality, game development, film and television production and social media content creation.
