Ponymagine is a model merging PonyDiffusion and Animagine, aiming to combine their strengths while allowing the use of LoRAs trained on either model. The goal was to integrate Animagine's character and artistic style knowledge into PonyDiffusion without relying on artificial prompts.
While the merge successfully retained much of Animagine's knowledge, some character and style details were lost, though improved tagging helps mitigate this. Masterpiece tags are supported, and adding "score" tags can be beneficial.
The model supports Pony LoRAs, although some may not function perfectly. Using IP adapters or Worldly XL LoRA is recommended for better background generation. Increased Pony LoRA compatibility often leads to decreased background quality and potentially impacts the effectiveness of concept LoRAs. The model's performance with eroticism is potentially improved.
The model's license follows the modified Fair AI Public License of PonyDiffusion, prohibiting monetized inference on websites or applications, except for explicitly permitted platforms like CivitAi and Hugging Face. The merge recipe, though messy, is available via a ComfyUI workflow included with the model files.
