Adobe has announced the launch of a new AI tool, Adobe Firefly Bulk Create , designed to simplify image editing tasks for corporate creatives. This tool is tightly integrated with the Adobe Firefly Services API suite and can batch edit multiple photos through the web application, greatly improving the work efficiency of the creative team.
One of the highlights of Bulk Create is that there is no need to download the desktop application or obtain a Photoshop license. Businesses can simply pay for the Adobe Firefly service to access the tool through the web platform. The current version of Bulk Create supports two basic functions: background changing and image resizing . Users can delete or replace the backgrounds of all uploaded photos at once through the Firefly model, and generate new backgrounds to upload to the platform. At the same time, Bulk Create also provides preset sizes for popular social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook to help users easily resize images.
In addition, Bulk Create also has brand customization capabilities, allowing users to adjust the image appearance according to brand preferences to make it more consistent with the company's image. Although the platform is still in private beta, Adobe expects it to be fully launched in the first quarter of this year.
Hannah Elsakr, Vice President of Product for Adobe Firefly GenAI Enterprise Edition, mentioned in an interview with VentureBeat that balancing the number of images with the time for updating and editing is a major challenge faced by corporate creative teams. She said that as digital channels continue to increase, creative teams must face unprecedented demands for content updates, especially the need to regularly update product photos on the website and social media, especially seasonal product images, which may need to be updated every year. 52 times, a new photo every week.
Taking high-quality photos is expensive, so image editing through Bulk Create, especially replacing backgrounds or resizing, becomes a more efficient and cost-effective option. While Photoshop remains the tool of choice for many users, Bulk Create provides a convenient solution for users without a Photoshop license.
Currently, Bulk Create only supports image editing features, but Elsakr says video support is expected to be rolled out soon, which will further enhance the platform's versatility.
In the creative field, the application of AI is becoming more and more popular. Since the release of the enterprise version of Firefly in June 2023, Adobe has become an important player in the field of AI content generation. Although some creators expressed concerns about Adobe using their works to train models, Adobe promised in 2024 that it would not use customers' works to train Firefly models, alleviating some public concerns.
As AI-generated image and video tools become more popular, more and more businesses are beginning to rely on these tools to obtain and edit the image content they need. At the same time, the controversy over whether AI-generated works infringes on artists’ copyrights continues, and the public’s sensitivity to AI-created artworks continues to grow.
