According to the latest estimates from research firm SimilarWeb, the Chinese chat AI platform DeepSeek has rapidly climbed its user base in just one week, surpassing Google's Gemini chat AI. On January 31, the DeepSeek website's daily visits reached 2.4 million in the United States, which is 60% higher than Gemini's 1.5 million. It is worth mentioning that OpenAI's ChatGPT is still a giant in the industry, with 19.3 million daily visits that day, about eight times that of DeepSeek.

DeepSeek's user growth is no accident. The platform peaked in visits on January 28, reaching 4.9 million times. With the increasing demand for AI chat tools, DeepSeek has obviously found its position in the market. What’s more remarkable is that outside the United States, the gap between DeepSeek and Gemini is even more significant. On January 31, DeepSeek's global visits (excluding China) were 29.2 million, more than three times that of Gemini. This data shows that DeepSeek is not only popular in the domestic market, but also gradually emerges on the international stage.

With the rapid development of AI technology, major companies have launched their own chat AI products, and the competition is becoming increasingly fierce. DeepSeek's ability to obtain such a huge user base in a short period of time reflects users' strong interest and demand for emerging products. This not only puts pressure on Google Gemini, but also has an impact on the overall chat AI industry landscape.

In terms of user experience, DeepSeek may have won the favor of users with its unique features and user-friendly design. As the platform continues to iterate and update, users' satisfaction with it is expected to further increase. Therefore, the future development of DeepSeek is worth paying attention to, especially in the competition with other large AI platforms. Whether it can maintain this growth momentum will be an important issue.
