New York artificial intelligence startup Graphite (Screenplay Studios Inc.) recently announced that it has completed a US$52 million Series B financing, led by Accel, and participated by well-known institutions such as Menlo Ventures and Shopify Ventures. The company focuses on using AI technology to innovate the code review process, and its core product "Diamond" feedbacks code issues in real time through large language models and provides modification suggestions.

Investment, financing, money

Graphite's Diamond tool not only automatically summarizes code submission requests, but also generates executable code modification solutions based on developer comments, significantly improving development efficiency. Despite facing strong competitors such as GitHub Copilot, Graphite has attracted more than 500 companies including Shopify and Snowflake with its reliability and customization capabilities.

This round of financing will be used to accelerate product development and team expansion. Graphite plans to open its code review service to teams of all sizes for free, further expanding its market share. Accel partner Christine Esserman believes that Graphite is becoming a key tool for humans to collaborate with AI.
