Today, Kai-Fu Lee, CEO of Zero One World and Chairman of Innovation Works, delivered a keynote speech at the first Capital Market Summit of Guolian Minsheng Securities. In his speech, he pointed out that 2025 will be the first year for the large-scale implementation of AI applications.
Compared with cloud computing, it is expected that the burst cycle of the AI2.0 application layer will be shortened to within two years. He said, "In fact, the ecosystem of artificial intelligence today is not very healthy, because money has been earned by a few chip companies. A good ecosystem must be the most money that the app makes, and then the platform layer and model layer are second, and chips make the least money. The ecosystem of artificial intelligence today is reversed, and a healthy ecosystem is expected to be formed within two years."
Kai-Fu Lee pointed out that from the perspective of human history, IT has experienced two huge revolutions, namely the PC era and the mobile Internet era, both of which have greatly increased global GDP. Today, generative AI is launching the third IT revolution. Compared with the previous two revolutions, the AI era will bring more profound changes. In the PC era, it only puts a computer in every office. The mobile Internet allows people to communicate with information, APPs and people at any time, while in the AI era, it will make every APP smarter than people.
He also said that the future development of models will enter a watershed, mainly divided into two types: one is a trillion- or even ten trillion-level super-large model, and the other is a trillion-level large model. The hundreds of billion-level models are pragmatic, fast and low-cost, while the super-large models are smarter and have a higher ceiling.
