Honor CEO Li Jian released Alpha plan: invest $10 billion in five years to build an AI ecosystem

At the 2025 Global Mobile Conference (MWC2025), Honor’s new CEO Li Jian made his first public debut, releasing a new strategy called the “Glory Alpha Project”. This plan marks Honor’s determination to transform from a traditional smartphone manufacturer to a global artificial intelligence (AI) terminal ecosystem company. Li Jian announced at the press conference that Honor will invest US$10 billion in the next five years to build a brand new AI device ecosystem with global partners.

Li Jian mentioned that the Alpha Plan will be implemented in three stages gradually. The first stage is to focus on smartphones. Honor will cooperate with major partners to break through technical boundaries, promote the popularization of agent-based artificial intelligence, and create a new market structure. The second stage is to build a smart ecosystem. Honor hopes to break the boundaries between various industries and create a comprehensive integrated era of physical artificial intelligence. Finally, the third phase will be committed to the construction of a smart world. It is worth noting that Li Jian was once a member of Huawei's Supervisory Board and vice chairman of New Honor, and his leadership marked a major transformation of Honor. In addition, it was also mentioned at the press conference that Honor Magic series mobile phones will provide up to 7 years of Android system and security update support.
