At Amazon's annual device and service event, Amazon officially launched its enhanced voice assistant Alexa+. This new version not only improves the voice interaction experience, but also incorporates generative artificial intelligence technology to make the interaction between users and Alexa more intelligent and convenient.

During the event, Amazon demonstrated how to share documents with Alexa+, enabling it to extract key information and answer questions about them. Mara Segal, project director at Alexa, showed several practical applications. For example, she asked Alexa+: “How much oil does Grandma’s zucchini bread recipe require?” Alexa+ successfully extracted the answer from the uploaded recipe, showing its efficient ability to process information.

In more complex application scenarios, users can upload relevant documents from the Home Owners Association (HOA) and ask Alexa+ for the association's guidance, so it is not easy to miss important information that is often overlooked. In addition, parents can forward multiple emails from their children's school to Alexa+, and the system will extract key information and summarize them to help parents effectively manage their calendars so as not to miss important school activities.

At the event, Amazon also showed off some other features of Alexa+, including quick jump to different movie scenes on Prime Video, and controlling smart home devices, where users can easily move music between speakers in different rooms, making the home entertainment experience smoother.

The launch of Alexa+ marks another breakthrough in Amazon's field of artificial intelligence. With the help of stronger information processing capabilities, users can easily obtain a large amount of information through simple voice commands, greatly improving the convenience and efficiency of life.
