OpenAI launches "In -depth Research" function to help complex information query

Recently, OpenAI announced the launch of a new feature called "Deep Research", adding a powerful information query and analysis tool to its artificial intelligence chat platform ChatGPT. This function is mainly for users who need in -depth research, such as finance, science, policies and engineering, as well as consumers who want to get more detailed information when choosing a car, home appliances or furniture.

Unlike the traditional fast answer method of ChatGPT, the "in -depth research" function is more suitable for complex inquiries that need to be comprehensively analyzed from multiple websites and information sources. Users only need to select the "In -depth Research" mode in the input box, enter related issues, and can also add related files or electronic tables to obtain more context information.

It is worth noting that the current function is only available on the web. The integration of mobile and desktop applications is expected to be launched later this month. After the user submits the inquiry, the system's response time is usually 5 to 30 minutes. After completion, the user will receive a notice. This feature currently only supports text output, but OpenAI said that in the future, pictures, data visualization and other analytical output will be added to further enrich the research experience of users.

In order to improve the accuracy of "deep research", OPENAI uses the latest special version of the latest O3 reasoning model. This model is trained by strengthening learning in real tasks, and has the ability to browse, data analysis and processing user upload files. In a test called "Human Ultimate Exam", the model reached a accuracy of 26.6%, far exceeding the performance of other similar models. However, OpenAI also admits that the function is still limited, which may confuse authoritative information and rumors, and format errors may occur in the report.

In order to alleviate these problems, the output of the "In -depth Research" will be attached with detailed quotation and thinking summary, so that users can verify the authenticity of the information by themselves. At present, this feature has been opened to ChatGPT Pro users, limited to 100 queries per month. The support of ChatGPT Plus and Team users will also be launched in the future, and the corporate version will follow up later.

It should be noted that this new feature of OpenAI is similar to Google's AI features of the same name two months ago, aiming to provide users with comprehensive information query services. Although OpenAI promises to launch this feature to PLUS users within one month, the release time of the British, Switzerland and the European Economic Zone has not been determined.
