OpenAI plans to build a data center, which may become one of the world's largest storage customers

According to The Information, OpenAI is considering building its first data center, planning to purchase billions of dollars in hardware and software, expected to require up to 5EB of storage capacity. This move aims to reduce reliance on cloud service providers such as Microsoft and may reduce operating costs. At present, the project is still under evaluation, involving many factors such as technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness and data security.
