When discussing whether a chatbot can lie, we must first understand what a “lie” is. Lies can be seen as a series of actions ranging from unintentional mistakes to deception. To ensure the credibility of AI, IBM proposed five principles: interpretability (the results are meaningful), impartiality (bias), impartiality (prevention of attacks), transparency (understand how the model works), and privacy ( Protect user data). These principles are designed to reduce AI's "illusion" and misinformation.
However, artificial intelligence designed through these principles may still lie when attacked by prompt injection.
