Recently, Richtech Robotics opened a new restaurant, "One Kitchen" in a Walmart supermarket in Pichit, Georgia, and launched a robotic service drink such as coffee, milk tea and fruit tea powered by Nvidia AI technology. The restaurant operates in partnership with Ghost Kitchens America, and robot Scorpion is responsible for interacting with customers, monitoring the environment and making drinks.

Meanwhile, Richtech’s other humanoid robot, Adam, is serving customers coffee and desserts at a restaurant in Las Vegas. Adam works in the “Clouffee and Tea” restaurant, working with the clerk, who sells snacks or bottled drinks that Adam cannot make. The clerk is always available to help when customers interact with Adam.

Matt Casella, president of Richtech Robotics, said the demand for AI service robots is growing rapidly in the catering industry, which is mainly due to the need to improve operational efficiency and provide a unique customer experience. He noted that Peachtree City’s “One Kitchen” restaurant is expected to achieve stable revenue streams, strong cash flows and improved profitability.

To facilitate the development of robotics, Richtech has also launched an accelerator program that provides American universities with opportunities to develop frameworks and access companies’ robotic systems to support robotic research. Participating universities will gain permission to use Richtech’s autonomous mobile robot and robotic arm platforms, all powered by Nvidia, including machine vision and voice interaction modules.

The purpose of this accelerator program is to help manufacturing, healthcare and services industries leverage AI robotics to solve labor shortages. The first participating Columbia University program focused on research on natural language processing.

Richtech’s restaurant not only opens its first “Clouffee and Tea” in Las Vegas, but also plans to expand in other regions. Currently, Richtech's automated restaurant business has expanded to more than 20 Walmart stores in Arizona, Colorado, Texas and Georgia. Adam robots provide ordering and payment services to customers through an integrated touch screen ordering system. In addition, Richtech uses its AI cloud platform to analyze operational workflows of restaurants, hotels and hospitals to optimize service efficiency.
