How to install Stable diffusion model in ComfyUI

Step 1: Download the Stable Diffusion Model

There are many channels to download Stable diffusion, such as Hugging Face, Civitai, etc. Here I suggest you use the Civitai website. This content is rich and there are many models to download.

Open the Civitai Model section https://civitai.com/models

1. Click Filters in the page menu

2. Select Checkpoint in Model types in the pop-up window of Filters

3. If you need a specific model version, you can select a specific model version in the Base model category.

4. Browse the page, usually the cover is a preview of the effect, you can choose a model you need

5. Click on the model card to enter the details page. You can see the blue Download button and click Download.

6. Wait for the download to complete and proceed to the next step

Step 2: Install the corresponding model in ComfyUI

Since other models used by different versions of Stable diffusion models such as LoRA, CotrlNet, Embedding models, etc., their model versions need to be corresponding, so I highly recommend that you create an additional folder during installation to distinguish model versions, such as structures like the following

Save your model files in the corresponding folder, please rest assured that ComfyUI can recognize your file level, which makes it easier to distinguish in daily use.

Step 3: Verify that the installation is successful

1. Start or refresh your ComfyUI service

2. Select the Load Checkpoint node to see if there are new corresponding model files in the options. If not, please check whether your installation path and configuration are correct.

Tip: Some plug-ins such as ComfyUI Manager also support model download and automatic installation, but most of the models of this type of plug-ins are Civil and cannot be accessed normally in China.
